What is available through the Finger Lakes Grants Information Center?

For the nonprofit sector, towns and villages

We house a resource library that provides visitors with free public access to the Foundation Center’s core collection, plus our collection of titles that include grantmaker directories, books on board development, executive leadership, marketing and communications, nonprofit management, proposal writing and more.  Visitors have free access to the Foundation Center’s electronic databases.

For current business owners seeking funding, or persons interested in starting a new business

There are several resources to help you strengthen your business, conveniently located in our building, listed below. You may contact them via their website for an appointment.

The Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce is membership-based, and open to any business or organization interested in improving their enterprise while investing in our local area. The chamber’s mission is, “to advocate as the voice of the business community, provide value-added services to our members, and facilitate collaboration that supports economic development for the greater good of Cayuga County”.

C.E.D.A. (Cayuga Economic Development Agency) has a unique alliance with other organizations working in economic development to provide “First Stop” business assistance to any business or start-up. CEDA will help your business navigate financial, technical and marketing challenges.

SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through education and mentorship. Because their work is supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), they are able to deliver services at no charge or at very low cost. They also work with established businesses, seeking to re-evaluate their business plans moving forward.

For individuals

We provide free public access to The Foundation Center’s electronic database Foundation Grants to Individuals Online.
